About the ISNLP
The Indian Society for Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a non-profit, member-driven educational organization founded with the purpose and mission to be committed to furthering the spirit, theory and applications of Neuro Linguist Programming (NLP) in India and globally, as inspired by the different institutions that facilitate learning of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnosis, Psychotherapy, Coaching, Personal Growth and related human disciplines for applied practices”.

Rationale for ISNLP Incorporation
The terms ‘NLP’ and ‘Neuro-linguistic Programming’ are not owned by any person or organisation. These are not trademarked intellectual property and there is no central regulating authority for NLP instruction and certification. There is no restriction on who can label themselves as an NLP Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner, NLP Trainer or NLP Master Trainer and there are a multitude of certifying associations in India and across the world.
There is great variation in the intensity and extensiveness of training and standards of practitioners, and some disagreement between those in the field about which patterns are, or are not, actual NLP. NLP is an open field of training with no “authoritative” best practice. With different authors, individual trainers and practitioners having developed their own methods, concepts and labels, often under the umbrella of NLP, the training standards and quality differ greatly.
Hence, in India, some professionals who were trained in NLP from different sources, came together to establish a non-profit society to provide quality trainings and certification Procedures. The aim is to provide benefits to its members and to certify credentials on NLP by facilitating and training people on the themes and practice of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
To ensure quality training for individuals wishing to apply NLP in various fields and work settings. The ISNLP has established standards for training and certification in cooperation with NLP associations around the world.
ISNLP trains and build professional facilitation proficiency through detailed and intensified programs for certification of Trainers and Master Trainers of NLP affiliated to ISNLP.. These Trainers and Master Trainers are authorized by ISNLP to conduct training programs for certification of their Trainees by ISNLP to the standards as,
(1) Associate Practitioner of NLP;
(2) Practitioner of NLP;
(3) Master Practitioner of NLP; and
(4) Such other allied programs specifically authorised by ISNLP Board from time to time.
Training in NLP, whether for personal or professional growth, is offered around the world by institutes and certified individuals.
The standards and guidelines for training toward certification—as a practitioner, Master Practitioner, Trainer or Master Trainer—have been established by the Professional Standards Committee of the ISNLP, on the basis of the training standards agreed upon worldwide and are mutually recognized by many global NLP associations.
The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) of ISNLP works on designing the programs of learning and updating them based on the excellence happening on NLP globally.
The PSC establishes the training standards, the ISNLP Code of ethics, and the Professional Practices Guidelines.
